I have a Porter Cable Router which has no dust collection system. I recently saw that Oneida had come up with a universal kit and I thought I would purchase it and see how it did. I purchased it directly through Oneida here.
It is super simple to put together and fit my Porter Cable router nicely. My first impression was that the plastic is a little flimsy for my liking. I feel as though the dust “Cuff” as they call it, may break someday. Only time will tell, but I imagine they would replace it without question. It was probably a trade-off to get it to the market for under $30
Testing the Performance
I have only used it once so far, but was thoroughly impressed with the performance. The only thing to watch out for is the “chip cover” will sometime get caught on corners. I shot a short video to show the performance. No dust on the floor afterwards. It is hooked up to shop vac.
All in all, I am pretty pleased with it. it does a great job collecting the dust. I will update the post if anything happens down the road.
