My wife thought it would look nice to add some wainscoting to our small 1/2 bathroom. The bathroom is about 7 foot by 3 foot and is pretty simple right now. We are going to add some MDF shelves above the toilet as well as the wainscoting. Here is the quick run down of how it went. Continue reading Adding Wainscoting to Bathroom Wall
Shop Vac Silencing Cabinet
I have a love-hate relationship with my Shop Vac. It is fantastic at collecting dust for stuff like sanders, biscuit jointer, Kreg jig, circular saw and cleaning up the floor. The only down side is the noise, it is loud and the tone is very unpleasant. So I set out to make a Shop Vac Silencing Cabinet that will also house the dust deputy and bucket. Continue reading Shop Vac Silencing Cabinet
Universal Dust Collector For Router by Oneida – Initial Review
I have a Porter Cable Router which has no dust collection system. I recently saw that Oneida had come up with a universal kit and I thought I would purchase it and see how it did. I purchased it directly through Oneida here. Continue reading Universal Dust Collector For Router by Oneida – Initial Review
Scrap Wood Cutting Boards
After all my various projects, including my workbench, I had quite a few scrap pieces of wood left over. Random thicknesses and widths. Some were 5/8″ thick and 7″ X 14″, some were 1″ thick and 2″ X 72″. I decided to utilize all this scrap wood by making a handful of cutting boards. Continue reading Scrap Wood Cutting Boards
Small Folding Assembly Table
I purchased an X-mat system from Woodpeckers a month ago and haven’t used it yet. There wasn’t a great place for it and I was waiting to build a small clamping table to use it on. I have a 4 foot section of wall between my garage door and a spigot that would fit a small folding table. I had a bunch of left over 2X4 stock to use and some plywood. A while ago I had a small fold-down router table and I figured the same idea would work for the assembly table. Continue reading Small Folding Assembly Table
Viewing window for dust bin (fiber drum)
I have overfilled my 15 gallon fiber drum on many, many occasions. The biggest reason for doing this is that I am never 100% sure how full the dust collector is and I forget to check it. Usually during jointing/planing operations. Continue reading Viewing window for dust bin (fiber drum)
New Rolling Planer Cart
I had a flip-top planer cart with a miter saw on the other side. It worked pretty well for a couple years, but I wanted to change things up in my shop. Continue reading New Rolling Planer Cart
Rolling Drill Press Cabinet
My drill press is a Shop Fox W1668 and it sits on top of a Craftsman tool chest. With the weight of the tools and drill press the cabinet does not roll very well and it is a little too tall to use comfortably. So I decided to build a new cabinet to mount my drill press on. It has to be mobile, so it will sit on casters. Continue reading Rolling Drill Press Cabinet

Walnut Humidor and Shelf
After my practice run on the large lidded box, I figured I was ready to build a humidor. Continue reading Walnut Humidor and Shelf
Large Lidded Box
I have been asked to build a humidor for a buddy of mine. I have never built a lidded box before and wanted a practice run with some left over material before the real thing. So, I set out to make a large lidded box with splined miters. Continue reading Large Lidded Box
